Why are these spots on my skin?
Question by silly_bitch: Why are these spots on my skin?
A month ago, i got some red spots on my skin that look like chicken pox. I went to the dermatologist and I got a cream but it didn`t work. Now I heard that from my dad that when I was little I was lactose intolerant and lately I`ve been driking at least half a liter of milk everyday. Could it be from drinking milk?

Answer by Jessica A.
Thats an interesting theory, Try not drinking milk for a month and see if the bumps subside. Have you ever though that it might be excema? The pictures in this artical are a bit severe but read about, you never know. Although, it is thought to be hereditary.

What are these mysterious large red/pink spots on my skin?
Question by Ghettogloss: What are these mysterious large red/pink spots on my skin?
This morning I noticed that I had a quarter size reddish pink spot on the inside of my upper arm. It’s doesn’t hurt or itch. It’s flat and there is no signs of a bug bite, flaking, or swelling. I also have one on my calf that is the size of a half dollar. I have Atopic Dermatitis but this not usually a symptom of it. They don’t really have a defined shape but fade out into the rest of the skin. I’ve had 2 spots like these in the past. One was the size of a dime, also on my upper arm but on the other one and a small one on my wrist just a week ago. They usually went away in 2-3 days. My mother keeps telling me it’s a bruise but it doesn’t look like one. Bruises are painful and are usually purple or blue, then turn yellow. These just fade away.
Does anyone have any idea of what this could be? It’s really bugging me and I’m starting to get worried. I have no health insurance at the moment and can’t find any information on this type of spotting on the internet. Any help would be great.

Sounds like some sort of allergic reaction. My sister had something similar and it took a while to figure out what it was. She wound up allergic to fabric softener. Hers were not solid red circles though. It could also be some sort of dry skin? Try putting moisturizer on those areas to see if they go away. I would try somehow to see a dermatologist if you continue just to make sure. I know you don’t have health insurance, but it is better safe than sorry. I wish you the best.

What are these red spots on my skin?
Question by ♡ Cøløñel мαŋgσƨ ♡: What are these red spots on my skin?
Just now, I noticed a large series of red spots on my thigh. I consulted Google, and all I found were answers on a difference kind of red spots.
The spots aren’t exactly red. A dark red one is scattered every so often, but most of them are a light shade of red, and a few have a brownish hue to it. When I ran my hand down it, I noticed that the spots were UNDER the skin. When I first discovered it, they itched for awhile but feel fine now. Could these spots be hazardous to my health? What are they?
lmfao @Rusty
South Park reference :p But seriously, These are not ginger spots. I can tell by looking at them.

Not sure, could be some type of rash or skin disease. I would see the doctor. If you start to have any other symptoms like fever, nasua ect…go to the ER.

These red scratches/rashes/dots keep appearing on one side of my face, my left cheek. If i had to describe this redness..
It almost looks like red scars or scratches. sometimes I wont have them but then other days they will be really red and have alot of them. other days it will just be dry red skin on one side of my cheek.
I also have redness and dryness on my nose, especially in one corner and on the top. any help would be awesome, please and thank you.
sounds like i am going to make an appointment with a dermatologist. but i think it is eczema or acne, ive tried so many moisturizers. Its so weird its somedays worse than others…

That sounds like eczema. Try using a rich moisturizer on the spot. Avoid using tough or scratchy face wipes/towels on your face until the spots clear away. If the cream doesn’t work within a few days, go and see your dermatologist. They will be able to prescribe you a medicated moisturizer that will help. Good luck!

What are these red spots on my skin?
Question by Angie: What are these red spots on my skin?
For about a year now I’ve been having issues with my face. I have no acne problem, but I do get these red spots. At first they are red like a pimple but they just start to flake away until it’s just a small light pink spot. When it turns into the pink spot new skin won’t form over it, the pink spot doesn’t fade. I’m worried something is wrong with me. I’ve been to several Dr’s but they can’t seem to figure it out. They put me on all these medicines and nothing works. I know it’s hard to know what I’m talking about since you can’t really see them, but I was wondering if I should get something like proactive to try to clear up the red spots, or if anyone else has had something similar. As long as it’s nothing serious I can deal with it, I’m just scared. I’m 30 and never had anything like this before.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

That’s weird your doctors can’t pin point it. acne medication might irritate your skin and make it worse.
maybe you’re using products you’re allergic to or have something touching your chin?

It’s the antibiotics – stop taking them. It sounds like hives. Take some benadryl and go see your doctor. If you have problems breathing go to the emergency room right away.

What are these little red spots on my skin?
Question by Dorial: What are these little red spots on my skin?
They don’t itch or even raise up off my skin. They have been there for two days. I am on some antibiotics(Levaquin) for a bladder infection and (allegra D) . I just went to the doctor yesterday because I thought I was having allergic reaction to the previous antibiotics( Bactrim). I really hate to call him again because of this. I keep getting hot flashy at night . I am really wanting to know what to do .
The spots are red and they are on just about my whole body.

Right off the bat, I think they are hives. You are probably right about having an allergic reaction. But I would definitely call the doctor, thats what he’s there for. <3
