yeah i had real bad acne too, i actually got a prescription from a dermatologist and its working great. but i heard a while back that lemon juice mixed with a little bit of sugar might help. the sugar is so it sticks to your skin. good luck

I really don’t know which place you are from, but in India the Neem tree leaves (Azadirachta indica – scientific name) are made into a paste and mixed with honey + turmeric powder. Its the best thing. Ive used that all my teen life and it works wonders.

Or if you don’t have any acne,and you want to get rid of only the scars – you can use lemon juice + turmeric powder .. it works a lil slow.. but it sure does.

I don´t know about home- remedies but you can avoid or control most acne with good basic skin care and the following self-care techniques:

Wash problem areas with a gentle cleanser. Products such as facial scrubs, astringents and masks generally aren’t recommended because they tend to irritate skin, which can aggravate acne. Excessive washing and scrubbing also can irritate skin. If you tend to develop acne around your hairline, shampoo your hair frequently.
Try over-the-counter acne lotion to dry excess oil and promote peeling. Look for products containing benzoyl peroxide, resorcinol or salicylic acid as the active ingredient.
Avoid irritants. You may want to avoid oily or greasy cosmetics, sunscreens, hair-styling products or acne concealers. Use products labeled “water-based” or “noncomedogenic.” For some people, the sun worsens acne. Additionally, some acne medications can make you more susceptible to the sun’s rays. Check with your doctor to see if your medication is one of these, and if so, stay out of the sun as much as possible and any time you have to be in the sun, use sunscreen that doesn’t clog your pores.
Watch what touches your face. Keep your hair clean and off your face. Also avoid resting your hands or objects such as telephone receivers on your face. Tight clothing or hats also can pose a problem, especially if you’ll be sweating. Sweat, dirt and oils can contribute to acne.
Don’t pick or squeeze blemishes. Picking or squeezing can cause infection or scarring. Most acne will clear up without this kind of intervention. If you need aggressive treatment, see your doctor or dermatologist.

Try making your own soap at home. search the web for good recipes. that you’ll like.

major benefit: no harsh chemicals.

and yeah i know where your coming from with the toothpaste..
my friends suggested it to me and all it did for me was scar my face where the acne was….

I was recently in a musical that required me to wear heavy stage makeup. Now it’s the week after, prom is on Saturday, and I have zits all over my forehead and chin. Please help me get them off (or at least smaller) fast! I’m on a prescription benzoyl peroxide gel, and it’s helping with some of the smaller ones, but I have some major zits that aren’t going away. Thank you!

I’ve never had really bad skin problems up until recently, when I started taking a steroid for my asthma. I’m done with the steroid, but it unfortunately made me break out on my upper lip and nose. Does anyone know of a really good, tried and true home spot treatment for pimples? I’d really rather not go out and buy something expensive like Clearasil for it, since it’s unlikely that I’m going to have an acne flareup again anytime soon.

Growing up a couple of my cousins, aunts, and even grandparents would use mustard. Since mustard is acidic, it can help dry up pimples and prevent them from coming back. I’ve tried it once out of disbelief, and it actually did help!

Go to the supermarket and buy some Raw sugar , oatmeal soap . get the soap lathered up in your hand put some sugar in your hand and scrub away , it will make your acne look heaps better after a day or 2 ( your face will look a little red from scrubbing), keep doing this it will work just have to be patient.
