Question by JenKim: RANDOM red spots under my skin JUST appeared?
So i took a bath.
I just washed myself then dried myself with a towel. I put lotion all over my skin, and everything was fine. then i went to bed and started reading a book. When i turned the page i just happened to turn my head to my arm and boom, theres random red spots on it.
theres several little red spots , on a huge area of my upper arm. every other part of my body is fine!
i dont know if its some allergic reaction or something.. what is it?
it just came outta nowhere. what is this condition called? what caused it? How do i get rid of it?
it doesn’t itch or bother me btw
i don’t know if its the lotion.. i put it on every part of my body. I have used it before without any problem.

It is probably just an allergic reaction to something in the lotion. Go wash it off with warm water and it should be gone by the time you wake up.

I recently began using Murad Acne Complex and Iam planning to stick with for a good 3 to 4 weeks for good results, I hope. My skin doesn’t usually experience sensativity but after using the products my skin sometimes burns and doesn’t feel totally soft and smooth. Iam wondering if my recent breakouts are my skin purging or irritation…

The same exact thing happended to me. You have to just be careful, it is very strong so I would not overuse some of it, especially the cleanser. I haven’t been that happy with the results, it dries my skin out like crazy and pimples come back a lot of the time.

Add more water than anything else. More water for more sensitive skin..

Put it on a cotton ball and rub it on your face.

Where’s the line between actually having acne, as a condition, or just having typical teenage skin with a few spots? How bad does it have to look before you’re considered to have acne? How do you “diagnose” acne?

I was told that If you have 11 or more active pimples at a time a doctor would consider it acne.

I looked in the mirror and discovered that I had a lot of red small bumps around my mouth, cheeks and some on my forehead! I have been eating canned tuna, and fish sticks this entire week. Can this be an allergic reaction or something serious?

it could be. Did you just now notice it? I would just watch and make sure that your face didn’t start swelling or anything. If it does you should go to the ER. Otherwise i would just make a doctors appointment and ask him/her about it.

About a week ago I got chicks and ducks and they all live together in a brooding box in my bathroom. I switched out their bedding to pine shavings and then two days later noticed they had developed red, irritated skin and ruffled exposed feathers around the irritated spots. I first noticed it with the ducks and the chickens slightly later on. Any possible advice on causes or solutions?

Pine shavings often cause an allergic reaction for baby birds. You shouldn’t be using pine as bedding for them. I find old towels are the best thing to use. You should go to the vet and get something for their rash.
