Baking soda, toothpaste, etc. never worked for me. I’ve even cut out junk food and soda, many greasy foods to try and help control my acne but nothing seems to work. I’ve even been to the dermatologist and still i break out! Is there something I’m missing here?

There is no remedy. None. Has nothing to do with your diet altho it is always smart to eat fruits and vegetables. The only medicine is Accutane which works quickly but has strong side effects which may not be worth chancing unless your skin is ravaged.
Soap and water and not too much of it. No washing 10 times a day. The oil in your skin and the hormones in your body are the cause. They are also the cause for your healthy skin and the growth of your entire body.. so don’t wish that they would go away.
You grow out of it. It doesn’t help to hear that.

I really don’t know which place you are from, but in India the Neem tree leaves (Azadirachta indica – scientific name) are made into a paste and mixed with honey + turmeric powder. Its the best thing. Ive used that all my teen life and it works wonders.
Or if you don’t have any acne,and you want to get rid of only the scars – you can use lemon juice + turmeric powder .. it works a lil slow.. but it sure does.

Have you tried using witch hazel on a cotton pad to clean your face at least twice a day? It is a natural product of the witch hazel bush and has astringent properties that exfoliate, cleanse, and dry blemishes. You will be amazed at the dirt that is removed each time you cleanse your face. Keep rubbing it in each time til the skin is clean. The exfoliation will gradually diminish the scars away. You might also use a perfume-less, non-oily cream afterward. Cheaper brands are as effective as the brand names. Check out the ingredients. This is a method I have used for many years. Perhaps it will work for you. Soap and water can be too harsh for delicate skin.

OKay this works on anything. green tea bags after u wash ur face add a guacomole face skin. let it sit overnight. in the morning wash it off and put a hot tea bag (preferably green tea) then scrub ur face. I have really oily skin and this seems to work. best of luck on ur acne solution remedy search.

Hey, I’m sixteen. I get a few breakouts from time to time on my chest back and face. What are the best products that you guys use to control acne, and what are your skin routines?

I get acne on my forehead and on my temples and on my nose and between my eyebrows when i pluck them. But i use some reallly good stuff.
I use “Clean & Clear dual action moisturizer” and if you have oily skin don’t worry it won’t make it any oiler because its oil-freee and it treats &helps prevent pimplesa and moisturizes dry skin.
I also use Clearasils “Overnight Serum” And it helps visibly reduce the redness and size of pimples over night.
My rountines is when I wake up I wash my face then pat it dry then use the dual action moisturizer. Then if I have time a few hours before bed I will apply it again (but it doesn’t matter you only have to use it once) Then right before I go to bed I use the Serum and the serum especially works so well. I say MAJOR results its about a week or maybe two.

Try Aveeno clear complexion
after washing use toner (alba makes a great one)
and spot treat your blemishes with acne cream. If twice a day is to drying do it at bed time and increase how much water you drink.

Do try to eat healthier,such as eating more greens and NO potato chips.Nothing with a lot of fat like french fries.fruit is good also.Change of diet thru this period of acne ville will make the medicine react differently on your skin.

Pure lemon juice and grapefruit juice should be able to help. Just dab some on entire face and let sit over night. If you have any Tea Tree Oil, that works pretty well. If you have redness you can try 2% milk, hydrocortisone cream, or an egg white facial mask- For this, separate an egg white from the yolk in a cup, and apply the white over entire face and rinse off whenever you want, usually from 10mins-1 hour is what I would do though. Apple Cider Vinegar may also work. If you have very sensitive or dry skin, I wouldn’t recommend using anything that may be to harsh, such as the fruit juices or vinegar. The egg mask seems to work pretty well, and you can definitely feel your skin tightening, and I noticed some redness disappear.
I’ve heard lots of crazy remedies and skin potions, I’ve tryed all of the things above but It just depends which works best for you. Also, make sure you are switching skin products occasionally, Like if one to were run out, when you buy more I suggest not getting the exact same thing, for your skin and acne becomes acquainted to it, and will be less effective. Some good brands I recommend are: Neutrogena, St. Ives, and biore. If you have blackheads I suggest getting this “pore unclogging scrub” http://www.biore.com/usa/products/produc…
Always remember, just because a product is more expensive doesn’t mean it will work better. It just has more expensive ingredients. -I learned that the hard way.- Hope I helped.
