Question by Animal Lover: What are the best home remedies to cure acne in a couple of days?
Are there any home remedies/masks to get rid of small pimples completely? I have them all over my forehead, and I use a soap, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Thanks.
I don’t want to buy any kind of creams.
I use Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser.

You can run a hot shower/bath. The steam from the hot water can open up you pours, and it makes it easier to remove black heads/ white heads and pimples.
( You have to keep the bathroom door closed, so the steam is locked in)

If you don’t want to take a shower, Just boil water in a small pot and put your face over the pot. (I personally don’t like this remedy because it can be dangerous if the water spills….It has the same effect as the shower remedy)

Btw, Instead of soap, use a cleanser. I found that bar soaps don’t work as well as cleansers do.

Here is a article on using apple cider vinegar for acne. I use it for my eczema and it works great.

Or get ANY face wash(I use noxema)leave it on 4 20 min(best results overnight) and your zits pimples everything is gone trust me!:)

I’ve tried Clean and Clear Face Wash (the orange one with beads), and that dried out my skin. I’ve also tried Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit Cream Acne Face Wash, and though I do somewhat like it, I’m still hoping there’s something better out there. Do you think the Neutrogena pink grapefruit SCRUB version (with beads) would be better? I have combination skin. Any suggestions?

well if the clean and clear dries out your skin its nly because water was not applied there but i use that and it works wonders and i love the fruity smell in the morning!

Cut out ALL soda, and junk food, drink at least 10 glasses if water a day. Now here’s the fun part… Get some really hot water and seasalt. You need two parts salt one part water. Mix it together until it’s a paste then put on your face leave for 15 min and rinse do this several times a day. And when showering wash your face with toothpaste it will open your pores up

please list all the best things you’ve used or things you’ve done to get rid of acne. also say what foods you had to stay away from. please dont list any doctor prescribed medicine because my acne isnt bad, its only a little bit of acne but i want to get rid of it fast. please list the name brands of the items and if you have any household remedies for acne it would be great if you could list those too. OH yeah and i have blackheads too so any tips on how to get rid of those would be helpful. thanks! by the way the reason im listing this in womens health is because, well, this is a problem that all women come across and i guess its kind of a health problem…thankss!
most of the acne is on my forehead by the way and the blackheads are on my nose. its weird though cause the acne is not red or irritated bumps they’re like…regular skin tone color and they’re only noticable if i turn my head a certain way and the light catches them in a certain way. yeah. lol sorry i thought maybe that would be useful info…

Proactiv really works! But you really have to keep up with it. I used it myself and I can guarantee that whatever your skin type, it will work. If you are into home remedies, toothpaste on the white heads works pretty good. It dries them out, and decreases the redness. Also, try a good astringent to reduce excess oils. Neutrogena has a good one, or you can simply use witch hazel. Don’t put any harsh scented soaps on your face (i.e. Zest, Irish Spring, Ivory). If you are going to use a main stream soap try Dove. OR, go to your local drug store and pick up a bar of Cetaphil, for dry sensitive skin. For a moisturizer, try Olay Hydrating Beauty Fluid.
