I have dark circles under my eyes and i also have a few acne scars. when i wear foundation, all it does is make my skin sort of an ashy color. i want to have clearer looking skin. no dark circles or gray looking skin, any suggestions??

It starts first with skincare, of course. If your skin is oily, try a skin care regimen for your skin type which should include cleanser, astringent and very light moisturizer. If you have inherited dark circles under your eyes, best thing to do is use an under eye moisturizer then a lighter coverup than your skin tone, finish off with a face powder under eyes. If you are getting gray looking skin from makeup, chances are you are in the wrong color shade family. Try a lighter foundation and use a cover-up. You could also try a tinted, clear, foundation then finish off with foundation or face powder or both. Avon makes a good tinted, clear foundation to utilize before you put on your foundation. It sort of prepares the face before coverup and/or foundation. It’s called Magix. Best of luck.
